The Greenhouse
Youth Workshop by Sílvia Sabaté
In an abandoned greenhouse on the outskirts of the city – a space for meeting, refuge, and excess – a group of young people is confronted with a traumatic secret from the past that resurfaces. And what until then had been silenced now transforms into a latent presence, into a kind of "plague" that spreads among them, altering relationships, dreams, and the perception of reality.
With a choral structure and elements that oscillate between the real and the supernatural, the play explores themes such as guilt, bullying, identity, sexuality, social pressure, and the
need – or impossibility – of telling the truth.
The Greenhouse is an intense and poetic portrait of fear, responsibility, and the transition to adulthood. A work that reflects the intensity, fragility, and complexity of growing up today.
