The next May 13 at 18:00 h, La Fede (Barcelona) will host the screening of the Mexican documentary “Now that we are together”, directed by Patricia Balderas, followed by a film forum and a round table.
The film addresses street harassment in Mexico and places at the center the experiences of women who organize collectively to inhabit public space without fear, through support networks, self-defense, and collective action.
The session will feature the presence of Patricia Balderas, director of the film, and Diana Alva, protagonist and feminist activist, who visit us from Mexico and will participate in the dialogue with the public.
As a closing of the cycle, the day will include a round table with Mexican journalists hosted by the Program for the Protection of Journalists, who will share their experiences in contexts of violence and defense of freedom of expression.
The activity wants to generate a space for critical reflection and exchange around feminisms, rights, and collective strategies against violences.
