Presentation of the project New Narratives, winner of the Francesc Candel Award 2024, by its team, the young participants and in conversation with expert voices on Thursday, April 30 at 5 PM.
The project seeks that migrant youth can develop their own narrative of the place where they live through the creation of videoclips. The theory of recognition is used as a methodology to recover, strengthen, and create ties in the rural areas of Catalonia, contemplating practices of affection, justice, and solidarity.
At the event, we will learn about the reception framework proposed by the project. Participants will include:
• Begoña Román: doctor in Philosophy, professor and president of the Ethics Committee of Social Services of Catalonia.
• Laia Costa: jurist, lawyer, trainer and consultant specialized in rights linked to foreignness.
• Gerard Costa: facilitator in regenerative development, public use, tourism and culture in Rural Catalonia.
The event will be in-person (https://noves-narratives-presencial.eventbrite.es) at the Carulla Foundation (C/ dels Almogàvers, 214) with a subsequent refreshment on the building's terrace. It will also be broadcast live (https://noves-narratives-streaming.eventbrite.es).
