Technological advances have led to the transformation of spaces during the night. Currently, we have streetlights that illuminate our streets, allowing us to see where we walk or the buildings around us. During the Middle Ages, it was very different; appreciating details in the darkness was very difficult, one had to learn to live in the shadows.
Discover the Monastery Cloister under candlelight to learn about the illumination process during the Middle Ages, the function of light at night, and how night was experienced in sacred spaces like the Sant Cugat monastery.
This activity takes place in the dark with the light of oil lamps and candles, with a small tasting of Piment Wine.
Price: €9. Reservations at museu@santcugat.cat and at 93 675 99 51.
