Next Saturday, July 18 at 7 p.m., at the Casal de Barri Ca l'Isidret, the play Voces de la Tierra, by the Companyia Res a Veure, will be performed, in which we witness a forensic research process, through which the remains of a woman found in a mass grave are identified. The action takes place in an indeterminate place and time: it could be any country where a situation of war or dictatorship has generated something as monstrous as disappeared persons. Little by little we will discover the stories of each character, what they do in this laboratory and how they got there.
Voces de la tierra is an adaptation by Sonia Espinosa of Gracia Morales' play, NN12. The central theme of the story is forcibly disappeared persons. The play delves into topics such as sexual violence against women in already violent contexts, the search by relatives of disappeared persons, the theft of babies, historical memory, dictatorships, the impunity of executioners, and democracies that do not do justice.
Admission is free and will operate with a reverse box office, but you must reserve your ticket through the Casal's email (calisidret@eixpereiv.org) or in person during opening hours. We invite you to come and enjoy the show!
