The world of trains, model making, and local history once again come together in our city. The Associació d’Amics del Ferrocarril de Sant Cugat del Vallès presents Santcugatren 2026, the second edition of an exhibition that is born with the firm will to consolidate itself in the cultural calendar and to reaffirm Sant Cugat as a city historically and emotionally rooted in the railway.
The event will become the ideal meeting point for families, curious individuals, and model-making enthusiasts from all over the territory. After the overwhelming success of the first edition, which almost reached 3,000 visitors, this year the fair grows in ambition, space, and activities to offer an even more immersive and spectacular experience.
The Vallès Line, as never seen before. The great attraction of Santcugatren 2026 will be the development of the H0 scale modular model of the Vallès Line, the entity's flagship project. Visitors will be able to see a faithful and artisanal reproduction of its stations, landscapes, and trains of Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC).
Beyond the running of trains, the exhibition will feature the presence of invited entities, a model-making market, and dissemination spaces that will transform the exhibition into an authentic intergenerational "open classroom," where grandparents, parents, and children can share memories, technology, and railway culture.
