Les Voyageurs' (David Bingong) in Barcelona

Les voyageurs is the choral and first-person account of a group of travelers who impatiently awaits the boza, the crossing to Europe from Morocco. Between the successive failed attempts, and through the camera and music, they keep alive the hope to cross. At Visions du Réel it received the Special Jury Prize and since then it has not stopped traveling the world and receiving awards.

David Bingong was born in Douala (Cameroon, 1988). A great enthusiast of staging, he participates in theater plays as a director and actor. He resides in Madrid, where he finished his first feature film Les Voyageurs (2025), filmed between 2013 and 2015 while traveling through Africa on his way to Europe and produced between 2021 and 2025 alongside filmmaker Irene Gutiérrez and the Contrapicada production grant from Hamaca.

You must see Les voyageurs! We must engrave in fire on our foreheads the stories of the people who break the racist and imperialist paradigms of Europe, of “the West”, of the world!
