The El Clot–Josep Benet Library and the Centre Cultural Farinera Clot,, in the Sant Martí district, have been joining for nine years to celebrate the Concurs Internacional de Literatura Ràpida. Next Saturday, April 18, they celebrate a new edition. The event will take place starting at 10:30 AM in the library's auditorium (plaça de les Glòries Catalanes, 37), where attendees will have to write, in only 90 minutes, a free-themed text that will have to include three keywords that will be revealed before the contest begins.
The texts must be in Catalan or in Spanish, handwritten, and must occupy a maximum of two sides on a lined sheet that the organization will provide. The stories submitted to the contest must not have been neither published nor awarded previously, and must be original and be free of rights, both copyright as well as image rights that third parties may have.
The registrations are open until today, Friday, April 17 at 8 p.m., and it must be done in person at the library or by email at b.barcelona.jb@diba.cat. The places are limited, up to a maximum of 50 participants. Regarding the jury, it will be formed by three people linked to the world of culture.
After the activity, the texts will be returned to the participants who request it. The organization will keep a copy of all the texts. In addition, the equipment keeps the rights of reproduction, public communication and transformation of the stories. All works will be published on the websites of the Biblioteca El Clot – Josep Benet and of the Centre Cultural La Farinera del Clot.
