The Cultural Center La Farinera del Clot has opened a new call for performing arts projects addressed to amateur, semi-professional and professional theatre companies and associations.
The deadline for submitting proposals will be open until May 31, 2026, and the premieres of the selected projects will take place on October 29, November 12, and November 26 of this year.
The initiative offers three artistic residency spots for shows aimed at both adult and family audiences, but only companies exclusively dedicated to dance are excluded, due to the lack of suitable spaces for this discipline.
How to submit a candidacy?
Companies must indicate in their application which of these dates they prefer for the premiere of their show. Among the conditions offered by La Farinera, the possibility of having three months of rehearsal in the cultural center's spaces stands out, as well as the absolute premiere of the work at the center's theatre, with a capacity for 180 people. For this reason, they will not accept productions that have already premiered nor projects that are solely an embryo in process.
To apply for the call, a dossier in PDF or DOC format must be sent to the address ccfarinera@gmail.com with the subject “contraprestacions + name of the company”. The dossier must include the technical sheet of the project, a work calendar adapted to the three months of residency, the company's curriculum, and the technical needs of the show, among other complementary materials that you can find here.
The call also specifies that projects including racist, sexist, homophobic content or that violate people's rights will be discarded.
In early June: the selected ones
The Cultural Center will especially value proposals of original creation, unpublished and in Catalan language, as well as technical compatibility with the theatre space. The selected companies will receive confirmation in early June 2026.
Regarding income, the box office will be distributed 60% for the company and 40% for the cultural center. In addition, the selected companies will have technical advice on sound and lighting during the setup and performance, as well as support in the dissemination and promotion of the show, including the creation of audiovisual content for social networks.
