Sant Just Desvern is dedicated once again to the celebration of International Dance Day with an extensive program of activities that extend between the end of April and the month of June. Various entities and schools of the municipality participate in this exhibition that combines exhibitions, open classes and shows for all audiences. The events started last Saturday afternoon with a cabaret by Cul Actiu, which took place at the Casal de Joves. This scenic proposal kicked off a calendar that highlights the diversity of dance.
This Wednesday's day, coinciding with International Dance Day, will be one of the central ones. The Dance Group of Amics del Barri Sud will offer open classes to the citizenry, with a session for children from 5 to 6 p.m. at the esplanade of Doctor Serra square. The same day, the Renata Ramos Paris school will publish a tribute video on its social networks.
The celebration will continue on May 9 with a proposal from the Associació Amics Balldesvern, which organizes a line dance and ballroom dance session at La Vagoneta at 6 p.m., as well as a sevillanas class from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Centre Cívic Salvador Espriu. Regarding the month of June, the Espai de Dansa Marta Roig will close the course with its traditional dance show at the Sala Cinquantenari of the Ateneu de Sant Just Desvern. The performances will be divided into two days: June 12, with two sessions (6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.) starring the small groups, and June 13 at 8 p.m., with the large groups, in jazz and contemporary disciplines.
In addition, several entities take advantage of these dates to make themselves known. Esbart Sant Just is looking for new members and offers open days during the course. Those interested can contact at secretaria@ateneudesvern.cat. The Tutuguri school also invites the public. They can be contacted via Instagram at @espaitutuguri or by writing toespaitutuguri@gmail.com. Finally, the Espai de Dansa Marta Roig invites to try classes, aimed at children from 4 years old.
