The visual and plastic language offers the opportunity to communicate through images. This is what the exhibition El meu paisatge, explores, the result of an educational project aimed at several schools in the Fort Pienc neighborhood of Barcelona and which is part of the program CreArt, promoted for twenty years by the Centre Cívic Ateneu Fort Pienc. This year they have had the collaboration of the Museu Hub del Disseny, with whom they have done one of the sessions.
The objective of the project is to delve into the theme of 'landscape' to explain personal situations from the children's environment. Thus, in the exhibition, which can be visited until May 27 at the Centre Cívic Ateneu Fort Pienc, drawings made by the students are seen where, among other images, they have illustrated Barcelona as their landscape, their city. One more year, the leading artist has been Mia Martí, whose trajectory has always been abstraction as a language. For years, she incorporates into her paintings photographs that become a starting point for the development of the piece. Lately, she has used images of corners of landscapes, often urban, such as the buildings of the cities she visits.
After months of work with the artist, on Friday, April 17, in the morning, the Fort Pienc square hosted a final performance which, in addition, gave rise to the inauguration of the exhibition My landscape, formed by all the works created by the students.

Contemporary art in schools
All this is framed within the CreART project, an artistic, educational and community program promoted by the Centre Cívic Ateneu Fort Pienc. Directed for two decades at the schools of the Fort Pienc neighborhood, it aims to bring contemporary art to the centers in a playful and educational way. Throughout the entire course, the artist develops a specific theme and works on it in the classrooms jointly with the team of teachers.
The main objectives are, on the one hand, to help shape experiences, ideas and emotions through the appreciation, experience and experimentation of art and, on the other hand, to promote personal initiative, imagination and creativity. The artist brings different cultural and artistic manifestations closer to children to develop their social competence and provide support in the pedagogical and cultural field to schools.

About Mia Martí
Versatile artist who works in different media and techniques, her painting merges with acrylics and inks, she does engraving and intervenes photographs. In the same way, she works with different media, such as woods, canvases or papers. Techniques and media that Martí dissolves with delicacy and, thanks to her skill, to hide, behind harmonious compositions full of harmony, a complex elaboration.
In his paintings, forms and lines unite, so that it is not known where some end and others begin. His vibrant and balanced colors, the way he distributes them, the transparencies, the compositional play, are elements that Martí uses to express himself with a language of his own.
