From this Friday and until Saturday, March 21, the city will host four events that add up to a total of six shows and that are committed to bringing dance closer to the citizenry
Saturday 21 from 12 hours the L'Escorxador Cultural Center will be the stage for three shows in a single session of free access
The festival will start on Friday 13 at 8 p.m. at the Zorrilla Theatre with the show Muerta de amor by Manuel Liñán (tickets sold out) and will continue on Sunday 15 with Per què un arbre és una gallina?, a family show by MA Compagnie-Marc Lacourt that will take place at the Margarida Xirgu Theatre. In this case there will be two performances, one at 4:30 p.m. and another at 6:30 p.m.
The festival will continue on Saturday 21 with a free proposal at the l’Escorxador Cultural Center. From 12 noon, all citizens will be able to enjoy three different performances for free consecutively and in a single session. The three shows that can be seen are NO (Short Piece), by La Venidera; DOMINARE, by Cia. La Maduixa; and MANIFESTO, a creation by choreographer Àngel Duran. The 9th edition of the Dansa Metropolitana festival in Badalona will close on the same Saturday 21 at the Margarida Xirgu Theater with Parlem-ne, a proposal by Cia. Vero Cendoya. It is an inclusive show that is part of the International Down Syndrome Day and is also part of the "No Empty Seat" campaign, a great collective challenge to celebrate Theater Day.
