III Solidarity Market of ABD

Access to safe housing continues to be one of the main barriers for many women experiencing situations of gender-based violence, social exclusion, or extreme poverty. To help change this reality, the ABD Group will hold the third edition of its Solidarity Market "For all of us" on June 6 and 7, which this year focuses on supporting women facing gender-based violence and other vulnerable situations.

The initiative will allocate the proceeds to Preinfant, a program of the Association for Welfare and Development (ABD) that supports pregnant women or those with children under three years of age who are in vulnerable situations. The project addresses situations of gender-based violence, adolescent motherhood, mental health problems, absence of family network, or residential exclusion, among others.

In 2025, ABD assisted 1,589 women and children in preventive socio-educational services focused on pregnancy and the 0 to 6 age group, of these, 52 in mother-child flats.

"Without housing, there is no possible stability, and without stability, it is much more difficult to break cycles of exclusion, especially when we talk about women with dependent children," warns Nausica Castelló, director of Preinfant. For this reason, she emphasizes the need "to promote resources that allow guaranteeing safe and accompanied parenting processes."

"A safe environment is the vital refuge that allows a mother to live without fear, offering her the necessary stability to heal and raise her children with calm, protection, and emotional well-being," explains Carmina Orfila, coordinator of Preinfant's mother-child inclusion flats, who reminds that these situations "are further aggravated in contexts of poverty and residential exclusion."

This third edition of the event will take place in the Gràcia neighborhood, and throughout the weekend, the market will offer thousands of items from renowned brands—clothing, footwear, jewelry, home textiles, decoration, furniture, and accessories—at very affordable prices. All of them come from a solidarity inheritance donated to ABD by a woman who wanted to transform her experience of suffering into opportunities for other women. The new location will allow for a considerable expansion of the available product offer and the incorporation of furniture and large-format items from the original donation that had not yet been able to be put on sale.

In addition, this third edition will feature musical performances by Txell Llasheras and Cor i Veu, who have wanted to join the cause in solidarity to liven up the two days. All activities will be open to the neighborhood, which also houses the entity's headquarters.

As highlighted by the president of the ABD Group, Felisa Pérez, "'For all of us' is much more than a solidarity market: it is a way of turning consumption into real social impact and building support networks among women, because behind female 'homelessness' there is not only a housing emergency, but also childhoods at risk and motherhoods crossed by violence and exclusion".
