To commemorate International Women's Day, the UB Solidarity Foundation and the Zona Nord Library – Mària Sánchez organize a conversation with Huma Jamshed.
First Pakistani woman to get a doctorate in Chemistry at the Complutense University of Madrid, in May 2025 she founded the Associació Cultural Educativa i Social Operativa de Dones Pakistaneses (ACESOP), an entity that works to improve the quality of life of immigrant women in Spain.
The activity 'A mint tea with... Huma Jamshed', with free entry and limited capacity, is part of the Programa d’intervenció socioeducativa that the University of Barcelona has been developing since 2014 in the northern area of Nou Barris, coordinated by Solidaritat UB.
After the conversation, the attending people will be able to enjoy a mint tea prepared by female neighbors from the Torre Baró neighborhood.
