Three women, three realities: “Mariposas Negras” (Black Butterflies) (2025), by David Baute, travels to different parts of the world to show us what it is like to have to migrate due to climate change. Inspired by real stories, this animated documentary shows the adventures of Tanit, Valeria, and Shaila, who are forced to leave their homes and make a living to save themselves and their families. The film has received prestigious awards such as the Goya Award and the Gaudí Award for best animated film in 2025.
