Witches, melancholic, hysterical… The literature of the 19th and 20th centuries reproduced the feminine stereotypes of the society of the time. From the angel of the home to the madwoman locked in the attic, we will read and review Flaubert, Virginia Woolf or Sylvia Plath, among others, to trace the representation of women from Foucault's theory and psychoanalysis, while stopping at the concepts of norm and deviation and social domination.
