The commemoration of the International Day for LGTBI Liberation, popularly known as Pride, has already begun in Cerdanyola thanks to local businesses and entities. Nevertheless, the city is preparing to host a great program of activities with the highlight central event on Saturday, June 27, featuring performances by Rosario, Pol Orobitg, and Churros con Chocolate under the slogan Cerdanyola has pride.
Central event with Rosario
The main activity of the commemoration will be the central event on Saturday, June 27, at Xarau Park, a festive, inclusive, and open proposal for all citizens that will combine culture, music, and advocacy.
The day will feature concerts by Pol Orobitg and the brilliant musicians, the show Churros con Chocolate, the screening of a commemorative video, and the stellar performance by Rosario, one of the most recognized voices in the national music scene. The party will continue until dawn with more music, entertainment, and surprises.
Furthermore, throughout the evening, the participatory activity Dress with pride, organized by Red Cross Youth, will be underway. This is an open proposal that invites participants to create clothing items with expressive and reivindicative messages by reusing second-hand clothes. In addition, the Purple and LGTBI Point will be operational throughout the celebration.
Admission is free, but capacity is limited. The event will feature a catering area and a reserved space for people with reduced mobility, with prior reservation by sending an email to lgtbiq@cerdanyola.cat before June 25.
