Civil War: Memory and Cinema

When ninety years have passed since the beginning of the Civil War, cinema continues to be one of the most powerful ways to bring us closer to the memory of the conflict and its wounds.

Civil War: memory and cinema proposes an audiovisual journey through the way fiction cinema has represented and reinterpreted this past over several generations.

Through film fragments and critical commentary, the conference invites us to discover how cinema has contributed to building the imaginary of the Civil War.
