Founded in 1974, Espluga Viva is an association whose objectives are to develop secular, co-educational, and non-sexist education, promote a love for nature, work for the country's culture and traditions, and foster solidarity among groups.
Its main sections are: the Scout Group (children and youth), the Esplugues Hiking Centre (mountain and Nordic walking activities), the Traditions and Customs group (dissemination of local heritage), and the La Rauxa Educational Space (family and children's leisure).
Its headquarters is "Casa Termes," located at Carrer Sant Francesc Xavier 5-7 in Esplugues de Llobregat, a early 20th-century Noucentist-style house donated to the organization in 2003 by the municipality. With a wide range of workshops, outings, festivals ("Arrela't"), popular walks, and leisure education activities, Espluga Viva is consolidating itself as a local benchmark for culture, education, and free time in the municipality
