The literary cycle El Cafè amb Lletres returns this first semester of 2026 with a new edition that will bring together five renowned authors: Marta Millà, Lluís Llort, Dolors Miquel, Blanca Llum Vidal, and Jaume Clotet. The program will run from January to May and will offer open meetings between authors and readers around novels, poetry, and literary essays.
Conversations between authors and readers
The program will open this Thursday, January 22, with El blau impossible (La Campana, 2024), by Marta Millà, a work of literary non-fiction. On February 19, it will be Lluís Llort's turn with Demolició (Clandestina, 2024), winner of the L’H Confidencial de Novel·la Negra 2024 Award. On March 19, Dolors Miquel will present El pit adormit (Edicions 62, 2026). On April 16, Blanca Llum Vidal will participate with Tan bonica i tirana (Editorial Proa, 2025), a poetry collection recognized with the Carles Riba 2024 Award. The cycle will close on May 16 with La calavera de l’apòstol (Editorial Columna, 2025), by Jaume Clotet.
Who will lead the talks
The sessions will be led by professionals from journalism, literary criticism, and creation. Marta Millà's presentation will be hosted by journalist and cultural manager Begoña del Pueyo. Cultural journalist Pilar Argudo will introduce the meeting with Lluís Llort. Journalist and writer Gemma Ventura will moderate the session with Dolors Miquel. Literary critic Esteve Plantada will lead the conversation with Blanca Llum Vidal, and writer Clara Ardèvol will moderate the closing session with Jaume Clotet.
A Stable Program in Cerdanyola
Cafè amb Lletres is a literary outreach program that has been running in Cerdanyola del Vallès for over 18 years and is part of the city's Reading Master Plan. The initiative is organized by the Cerdanyola del Vallès City Council, with the collaboration of the bookstores Èfora, L’Aranya, and Llibreria Lilliput, and the support of the Department of Culture of the Generalitat de Catalunya.
Open sessions for the public
All meetings will take place in the Enric Granados Hall starting at 7 p.m. Access will be free until capacity is reached.
