Cornellà de Llobregat will once again experience intense nights this July. A new edition of Nits d'Estiu is already underway, the cultural cycle promoted by the City Council that offers live music, cinema, and outdoor activities in different spaces of this municipality. The program includes nearly forty proposals spread over the coming weeks and aimed at all audiences.
The main stages will be different spaces in the city, such as Cornellà Castle, Can Mercader Park, or Plaça de Catalunya, among others.
Music, the highlight of the cycle
The show Flotados, by the company David Moreno & Cristina Calleja, kicked off a wide range of activities that you can consult here and that will last throughout July.
Music will occupy a prominent part of the program with the participation of artists such as Meritxell Neddermann, Nexo, Tarambana, and Dani Nel·lo. Several festivals will also return, including the Sant Ildephon's Festival, Sanildesound, Can Mercader Festival, and Dansafolk Festival.
Special edition of Llobregat Suena
The program also includes a special edition of Llobregat Suena in Can Mercader Park, dedicated to local and regional groups. In addition, there will be a performance by comedian Txabi Franquesa and a micro-theater show with the winning companies of the Francesc Orozco Ruiz Memorial.
Among this year's novelties is also the cycle Tributs: generations on stage, dedicated to artists and groups from the seventies, eighties, and nineties. The program includes tributes to Bee Gees, Tina Turner, and Héroes del Silencio. The cycle Clàssica al capvespre (Classical at Dusk) is also incorporated, organized in collaboration with the Chamber Group of the Catalan Symphony Orchestra.
Culture with free access
All Nits d'Estiu activities are free. In addition to the initiatives organized by the City Council, the program also includes other music and culture cycles promoted by city entities. Thus, throughout July, Cornellà will offer an agenda of cultural activities distributed in different public spaces with the aim of bringing music, cinema, and performing arts closer to the citizens, in a program that began in 1997 and is already an essential part of Cornellà's cultural agenda, which celebrates summer with a very festive and musical program.
