The Carmel neighborhood of Barcelona will once again experience, on July 4 and 11, two nights of music, culture, and neighborhood gathering with a new edition of the Karmela Fest, which this year celebrates its tenth anniversary. The festival reclaims public space as a meeting point for residents, with a program that combines concerts, activities, and cultural and popular proposals.
Over two days, the Karmela Fest proposes sharing, dancing, and celebrating the neighborhood with a program that, according to the organization, goes beyond a traditional music festival. Among the activities will be bingo by GHATT and AEIG El Carmel, with the participation of MUVAS, batucada, manifestos, DJs, and different initiatives linked to the neighborhood network.
Karmela Fest 2026 Program
The musical program of this edition will feature artists such as La Niña Mai, Munly, Axirripunk, Grupo Bacoa, Las Tumberas de Barcelona, Las Escandalera, La Tía Borracha, SDK, Tu Reggaetonera Peligrosa, DJ Piti Vaccari, DJ Santadre, and DJ AdiMSS.
Among the festival's proposals will be the participation of Las Tumberas de Barcelona, who on July 4 will bring their Afro-Chilean parade to the streets of Carmel. The collective works with Tumbe Afroariqueny, an Afro-descendant cultural expression transmitted from generation to generation, especially by women, as a form of memory, vindication of identities, and community building through the body, music, and movement, as Cultura B explained a few days ago.
