L’H Fa Teatre, the Mostra de Teatre Amateur Exhibition, reaches its 30th anniversary consolidated as a benchmark of the theatrical scene in this city. Organized by the City Council in collaboration with the Centre Catòlic, it will run until June 13 with a dozen scenic proposals in various spaces of the city.

Due to the temporary closure of the Teatre Joventut for renovations, this year the festival has been decentralized and the performances will be distributed among the Centre Catòlic, the Centre Cultural Bellvitge-Gornal and the Centre Cultural Santa Eulàlia, a fact that reinforces the proximity character of this event, which precisely aims to turn the neighborhoods of l'Hospitalet into active stages of local culture.

‘Fiesta de disfraces’ premieres the party

The inauguration of the program took place at the Centre Catòlic with the play Fiesta de disfraces, by Gornal Teatre. The play revolves around the 30th wedding anniversary of a couple who decide to celebrate it with a costume party in their garden. To participate, it is essential to go in costume and characters who are not invited appear, who arrive for other reasons, but end up integrating into the party. Throughout the celebration, different situations occur that lead to a very funny comedy.

A packed program

Once the party has been inaugurated, four weeks will begin with a program featuring shows designed for diverse audiences and with a clear commitment to the variety of theatrical genres.

In the field of comedy, proposals such as No hay huevos, by Divinas Teatreras; Qué desastre de obra, by L@s Jeremías; and Asesinato a la hora del té, by Bellgrup, stand out. All three share a commitment to slapstick humor, absurd situations, and parody as a narrative engine.

More reflective and social proposals

The festival also incorporates more reflective and poetic proposals. This is the case of La gran fàbrica de paraules, by the Scenic Group of the Teatre Centre Catòlic, and After Life, by EMMCA Actúa, which poses a reflection on eternity and the meaning of life through scenic language.

Finally, the most social dimension of the exhibition is present with Quan el món pesa, by Plàudite Teatre Jove. A production that addresses the concerns of young people and works on the prevention of gender-based violence through a collective creative process.

With this commemorative edition, according to the organizers of L’H Fa Teatre, the festival's commitment as a platform for amateur creation and as a space for cultural cohesion in the city is reaffirmed.
