Next July 3, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Plaça Guillermo Vidaña i Haro will become the stage for an afternoon dedicated to live music with the celebration of the 2026 Young Music Contest.
The event is designed to give visibility and space to young artists and emerging bands from Barcelonès Nord, who will have the opportunity to showcase their talent to the public and compete in this open music contest.
From Sant Adrià de Besòs to the world
The competition is aimed at young people between 15 and 30 years old, both soloists and groups or bands. To qualify for the prizes, however, there is an important condition: at least one of the group members must be from Sant Adrià de Besòs. The organization assures that this condition seeks to reinforce local participation and the link with the territory of Barcelonès Nord and with the city.
Regarding logistics, the organization will provide participants with a drum kit, microphones, and basic sound equipment, thus facilitating the necessary infrastructure for the performances. However, each group will have to bring their own instruments and the rest of the materials they need for their performance.
Voting via Instagram and in person
The winning group selection system will combine two forms of voting: on the one hand, there will be voting via Instagram and, on the other hand, there will also be in-person voting during the event itself. This combination allows both the digital audience and those attending the concert to be involved.
Outstanding prizes for the winners
The prizes are diverse and designed to give continuity to the participants' musical projects. The first prize will consist of the opportunity to perform at the Nit Jove of the city's Festa Major. The second prize will be for the opening act or acts of the winning group. Finally, the third prize includes the recording of a song at the Polidor recording studio, an opportunity to professionalize musical work.
The organization reminds that registration does not guarantee final participation, as this will be subject to the maximum number of admitted groups. It is also established that sexist, racist, or LGTBIfobic attitudes or content will not be tolerated. In addition, the participation of women and dissidents within the groups will be positively valued.
Registrations are made using the form you will find on this website and are open until June 19.
