The countdown for a new edition of the MIRA Festival has already begun. Before the big event scheduled for November 6 and 7, 2026, at Fira de Montjuïc, the festival presents the second edition of TURBINA, a day dedicated to contemporary digital art that will transform the emblematic Tres Xemeneies de Sant Adrià de Besòs into a large creative laboratory open to the public.
The event will be on Saturday, May 9th, from four in the afternoon until one in the morning, in a space that, due to its architectural singularity and symbolic charge, becomes the ideal setting to host an exhibition that aims to challenge the limits between technology, experimentation, and artistic expression. La Nau Turbines, the epicenter of the day, will open its doors to offer an immersive experience where electronic music, audiovisual performances, projections, and interactive installations will coexist.
Much more than an appetizer
More than the antechamber of the November festival, TURBINA seeks to be a privileged window into the current digital art scene, focusing on creators and collectives that often fall outside conventional artistic circuits. It is also a meeting point between the general public, sector professionals, and cultural curators, a fact that consolidates them as a space for discovery and exchange around new forms of contemporary creation.
Prominent and Emerging Names
This year's lineup gathers prominent names of the artistic and sound avant-garde such as ¥€$Si Perse, Abril Tormos, Alpha Decay with Luisa Madrid, Andrea Badia, Bayona Studio, Carla Elias, Desilence, Estampa, Eyesberg, Ferran Belmon, Onionlab or Rob Clouth, among many others. A diverse program with which the organizacuó wants that the artists, from their different disciplines, dialogue among themselves.
One of the great attractions of the day will be the tour through the three floors of the Nau Turbines, which will host eleven installations specifically conceived to activate the spaces of the venue. Pieces like The beat of music, Souls, Disperse the specters, Fourier Architectures or Re:Echoes will transform the building into a sensory itinerary where each room will offer a unique experience.
With TURBINA, MIRA seeks to reaffirm its will to explore new creative territories and to bring digital art to the general public in accessible, experimental and surprising formats. Thus, it is an exceptional opportunity to discover where the artistic avant-garde of the present looks and surely also of the future. You can buy your tickets here.
