The Castell de Cornellà hosts until May 25 the exhibition Anima Mea, an artistic proposal created by the interdisciplinary artists Gema Pinedo de Pedro and Leonor Ivanna.
The exhibition transforms, during these days, the rooms of the emblematic Castell de Cornellà into an immersive experience space that invites the public to delve into an artistic and sensory journey. Anima Mea is presented as a unique project conceived specifically for this heritage space.
Beyond traditional contemplation
The exhibition combines different disciplines such as drawing, painting, sculpture, installation, contemporary jewelry, photography, and video. All these visual languages dialogue with each other and, at the same time, intertwine with other scenic expressions such as music, dance, and theater. "This multidisciplinary interaction allows for the creation of a global experience that goes beyond the traditional contemplation of the work of art," say the organizers.
An offering that invites introspection
The common thread of the exhibition is a reflection on life, death, and the human essence. Through symbols, the psychology of color, and the expression of emotions, the artists propose a kind of metaphysical offering that invites introspection. The result is an immersive space where each element contributes to generating sensations and stimulating the visitor's gaze from different perspectives.
A shared trajectory
The project also stems from a shared trajectory between the two creators. Their bond dates back to their years of sculpture studies at Escola Massana and has consolidated over time, both in joint professional projects and in a close friendship. This complicity is reflected in the coherence and depth of the work they present in Anima Mea, where a constant dialogue between their respective artistic sensibilities is perceived.
Free entry
Entry to the exhibition is free and can be visited during the usual opening hours of the Castle Exhibition Hall. On Sundays and holidays it opens from 10 am to 2 pm, while from Monday to Friday it does so from 10 am to 2 pm and from 5 pm to 8 pm. The Cornellà Castle
It is one of the emblematic buildings of Cornellà. It is a large Gothic house, built and renovated in various eras. It is strategically located at the top of a small hill, dominating the Centre neighborhood, from which one has a good view of the Llobregat in its final stretch, from Sant Boi on the other bank of the Llobregat river and, formerly, of the main access roads to the city.
