Spring and summer bring to Cerdanyola one of the most beloved traditions by the citizens: the neighborhood Festes Majors. Celebrations woven from the ground up thanks to the essential collaboration of the neighborhood fabric, merchants, and local entities. Every corner of the city will become a stage for coexistence with an offer designed for all ages: live music, family activities, and the classic popular meals that build community.

Canaletes and Serraparera

This weekend, the Festes Majors of Canaletes and Serraparera coincide. Canaletes will open with a Youth Night full of concerts this Friday. Saturday will feature activities for the whole family such as the giant water slide, the second-hand market, or the botifarrada. Sunday will close with sports activities, water games, and a popular paella.

The Festa Major of Serraperera will also start on Friday night. Saturday will host dance performances from the Civic Center and a popular dance with an orchestra, while Sunday will conclude with a giant paella and more exhibitions from the center's entities.

Success in Fontetes and Turonet

This year the calendar kicked off with Les Fontetes, which celebrated the 44th edition of its main festival last weekend. The highlight of the festival, held from Friday May 22 to Sunday May 24, combined family activities, popular culture, music, and youth spaces with the aim of strengthening the bond between neighbors, school, and entities under the motto “Neighborhood-School-Family.”

The traditional paella at Pinetons, with nearly 500 tickets sold, was responsible for closing three days of festivities. The good weather allowed enjoyment of a range of activities for all ages.

The Turonet neighborhood also celebrated its main festival, on the weekend of May 30 and 31, with a children's show and a popular paella that gathered more than 250 diners. "More than a neighborhood, we are a family," assure the residents of Turonet.
