Are you from Barcelona or the metropolitan area and want to be part of a cultural community of young people? These days, and until May 4, you can sign up for a call to organize the fourth edition of the Festival BOCA, a music show made by and for teenagers born between 2007 and 2011. The initiative is promoted by NouPOP with the collaboration of the Casa de la Música de Barcelona with the support of Sala Paral·lel 62.
The current call aims to select fifteen young people between 15 and 19 years old to be part of the Consell Jove de BOCA. If you like music, want to do new things and join a community of culture followers, this is for you. It is a program designed for young people who want to discover how the world of music works from the inside, taking charge of artistic direction, contracting and programming, content creation, communication, among other functions.
The experience allows to learn directly from professionals in the music industry, acquire real tools and be part of a co-creation process until making it a reality. All this will culminate in a festival designed and produced by young people, which will take place at Sala Paral·lel 62, in the Barcelona neighborhood of Poble-sec, next autumn. The previous edition was held on October 31. Among the recognitions it has received, stands out the Time Out Cultura Barcelona Award – Most Innovative Project (2024) and the Impulsa Cultura Award Fundació Catalunya Cultura (2022). It has also been a finalist for the Lluís Carulla Fundació Carulla Award (2026), the Alícia Awards Catalan Academy of Music Public Recognition (2025) and for the Music Cities Awards Music Cities Events, as the best initiative that uses music for economic, social, or community development (2023).
