Exhibition opening: January 20, at 7 p.m.
An exhibition of alternative pedestrian crossing designs by artist Alfredo Ruiz, a member of the Ateneu. Starting from the traditional model—the black and white stripes inspired by a zebra's skin—the author presents 40 alternative designs that introduce variations in the drawing and color palette, with the aim of increasing visibility and advocating for diversity.
This artistic itinerary starts from the classic black and white model and progresses towards versions with more color and expressiveness, reaching a true chromatic explosion. The journey symbolizes the transition from a uniform and rigid view of the world towards a broad and inevitable recognition of human plurality.
The colors become a metaphor for diversity and dialogue with Article 2 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which proclaims equality without distinction of race, color, sex, religion, opinion, or origin.
