With the arrival of good weather and heat, it's easy to start thinking about the main festivals that will fill the metropolis this summer, but there are neighborhoods that still have to wait a few months to fill the streets, as is the case of the Barcelona neighborhood of Sarrià, which this year celebrates it from October 2 to 12.
Although there are still five months left, the neighborhood is already warming up for one of its annual events, the Fes-te els balcons (Do your balconies), a community activity launched from Casa Orlandai and made possible thanks to the neighbors who lend their balconies and the artists who dress them with music and performance.
To experience a new edition, these days they are looking for both artists with small proposals and balconies in the neighborhood. Specifically, they are looking for acoustic concerts, reading and poetry sessions, movement and performance shows, theater plays and any other proposal that lasts between five and ten minutes. All in all, as they say, "to reclaim balconies as a public space, community art and the neighborhood network." If you are interested, you can write to programacio@casaorlandai.cat. Once the program is closed, and when the Festa Major approaches, the day of the Fes-te els balcons and the details of the artistic itinerary will be announced where, along the route, various scenic shows can be enjoyed from the neighborhood's balconies.
Last year, twelve shows were seen, such as the play Ràdio Balcons, by Les Grandes; the dance Spielraum; the performance by Aband Antàrtida; the show by Coral Coda; the comedy by Laku Mèdia, among others.
