The new season of live arts in L'Hospitalet is marked by the presence of performing arts in the city's streets and squares, the celebration of the twentieth anniversary of the Acróbatas Festival, and a diverse program where music plays a leading role, with proposals ranging from the reinterpretation of popular repertoires to classical music, blues, and boogie.
The autumn program will begin on September 19 with Kamchàtka, by the eponymous company, an itinerant street theater show that will transform the Plaça de l'Ajuntament into a space for reflection and participation through a poetic proposal about human displacement and coexistence.
During October, the public space will host various circus, humor, and science shows as part of the "Ciencia a escena" (Science on Stage) project. Street arts will invite citizens to rediscover squares and parks as creative spaces and bring scientific dissemination closer to the performing arts language.
Music will also play a prominent role with proposals such as the Coldplay tribute by pianist Laura Andrés and the interpretation of Vivaldi's "The Four Seasons" by the Catalan Symphony Orchestra at the Auditori Barradas.
November will be marked by the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Acróbatas Festival, which will take to the streets with an inaugural day on the Rambla de la Marina and a program that will combine poetry, music, and literature. The festival will bring together artists such as Lara Moreno, Christina Rosenvinge, and Sara Torres; María de la Flor; Benjamín Prado and Elefantes; Alberto San Juan and Fernando Egozcue; Dani Flaco, as well as various poetic and family proposals.
The season will also include a new edition of the Blues & Boogie L'Hospitalet Cycle, with a concert by Fabrice Eulry, James Goodwin, and Lluís Coloma Trio, an international boogie-woogie gathering that will take place at the Auditori Barradas.
In December, family proposals will continue with "Mular (o la gran captura)" (Mular (or the great capture)), by the company Cinc Cèntims Teatre, a marine fable about the fear of the unknown and the relationship between people and nature. The program will close with the Christmas concert "Me encanta" (I love it), by the Cor Jove Amics de la Unió, a choral proposal that explores music from all over the world.
In addition, L'Hospitalet continues to promote school theater programming, with shows aimed at different educational levels, and maintaining its commitment to cultural accessibility through the Apropa Cultura program.
