It is currently a publicly owned theatre (Generalitat de Catalunya, Barcelona City Council, Diputació de Barcelona, Ministerio de Cultura y Deporte), managed by the Fundació del Gran Teatre del Liceu, which includes, in addition to the aforementioned institutions, the Consell de Mecenatge and the Society of the Societat del Gran Teatre del Liceu.
