The Museu is committed to excellence in heritage management, knowledge creation, and education, with the mission of acting as a driver of social and territorial progress in its surroundings, from the perspective of Catalonia's and its people's relationship with the sea, which is what distinguishes the Museu Marítim de Barcelona from other maritime-themed museums.
