The El Molí Library is a municipal service for the promotion of reading and knowledge, open to all citizens, with the mission of satisfying the needs for information, lifelong learning, and culture in a space for coexistence and social cohesion. It depends on the Molins de Rei City Council and is managed under an agreement with the Barcelona Provincial Council.
The library opened in March 2019 and has 2,100 m² of usable space spread over four floors. It is located in the former Ferrer i Mora factory, a 19th-century textile company that had a flour mill, which gives the building its name. The library has an extensive collection of books, magazines, films, and digital resources, in addition to study, reading, and activity areas for all ages. It also hosts workshops, exhibitions, and book clubs
