The Palau de Requesens in Molins de Rei began construction at the end of the 15th century, but experienced its greatest period of splendor in the 16th century. Great personalities and monarchs, such as the Catholic Monarchs or Emperor Charles V, stayed there on repeated occasions. Today, it houses an interesting collection of paintings, sculptures, and objects from the Renaissance era of the town of Molins de Rei and from the collections of other museums with which it collaborates.
The museum's narrative is structured around three themes that are the main protagonists on each of the three floors: the history of the Requesens in Molins de Rei, the main characteristics of Renaissance art, and daily life in the 16th century
