Cabal Musical has opened the call for its new 2026-2027 edition, an artistic accompaniment project that fosters the impulse of musical talent in the Besòs Strip. From February 2 to April 19, young people between 16 and 30 years old residing in the districts of Nou Barris, Sant Martí and Sant Andreu in Barcelona and in the municipalities of Sant Adrià de Besòs, Santa Coloma de Gramenet, Badalona and Montcada i Reixac will be able to register to be part of this free musical professionalization program.
The project, organized by Taller de Músics in collaboration with the Consorci del Besòs and the local councils, will select 12 musical proposals —among soloists and groups— that will receive training, guidance, and professional resources for 18 months to turn their creative concerns into entrepreneurship projects and introduce themselves into the sector. The participants will benefit from individual mentoring with industry professionals, the production of an EP of between 4 and 6 songs, a music video, promotional photographs, image design, and a minimum of 4 scheduled concerts.
Cabal Musical offers two differentiated training itineraries: one focused on the career of concert musician and another focused on the field of education and community outreach, thus allowing each participant to develop their project according to their interests and professional goals. The final selection will seek to include a varied sample of musical styles and will take into account artistic, attitudinal, social, and diversity criteria, above technical perfection.
Presentation in Sant Adrià to publicize the project
Before the start of the auditions, which will take place between May 28 and 30 at Taller de Músics ESEM, the project will organize a presentation session in Sant Adrià del Besòs on February 19 at 5 p.m. at the Centre de Producció Cultural i Juvenil Polidor. This session will be focused on young people interested in participating in the call
The selected individuals will receive official communication the first week of June and will begin the program the same month, which will extend until November 2027 with the presentation and distribution of the produced EPs.
