The neighborhood is warming up its engines to experience the 39th edition of Carnival, the craziest and most colorful festival in Clot-Camp de l’Arpa. From Thursday 12 to Wednesday 18 February, squares and streets will be filled with costumes, music, satire, and a lot of revelry, with a program packed with activities for all ages. The key dates of Carnival 2026 are Fat Thursday (February 12), the Arrival (Friday 13), the Great Carnival Parade (Saturday 14), and the traditional Burial of the Sardine (Wednesday 18), which will put an end to the festival. However, organized by the Federació d'entitats del Clot-Camp de l'Arpa.

Carnival Fair in the Jardins del Clot de la Mel

As is tradition, Carnival also arrives with a fair included. The attractions will be installed in the Jardins del Clot de la Mel from February 6 to March 1. The hours will be Monday to Friday from 4:30 PM to 8:30 PM, and Saturdays and Sundays from 11 AM to 2 PM and from 4 PM to 9 PM

Fat Thursday at the Clot Market

On Thursday, February 12, the Mercat del Clot will once again be the protagonist with the already classic costume contest for stallholders and the decoration of the stalls. From 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., the market will become a space full of humor, creativity, and good atmosphere, where neighbors can stroll and enjoy

Arrival of King Carnival and popular botifarrada

On Friday, February 13, at 7:33 p.m., the departure and procession of ambassadors will take place, which will officially kick off Carnival 2026. The route will pass through Rogent and Sèquia Comtal streets and Font and Sagué and Mercat del Clot squares, with the party ending on the esplanade of Casal de Joves La Traca.

Following, from 8:05 p.m., the 39th proclamation of King Carnestoltes will arrive, which once again will showcase its biting criticism and irreverent spirit. After the proclamation, a great popular botifarrada and a traveling masked ball will be held until the esplanade of the Casal de Joves del Clot

The Great Carnival Parade

The main event of the weekend will be the Gran Rua de Carnaval, on Saturday, February 14. At 4:31 PM the parade groups will gather on passeig de Maragall, and at 5:05 PM the parade will begin, which will go along passeig de Maragall, Freser and Rogent streets, Meridiana avenue and various points in the neighborhood until reaching Fossar del Parc del Clot. Once there, the traditional parade groups' photocall will take place and the party will continue with music

Ash Wednesday: sardines, sorrow and farewell

On Wednesday, February 18, Carnival will bid farewell with the most solemn (and ironically sad) events. At 5:05 PM, in Font i Sagué square, the sardine workshop to prepare the funeral procession will be held. At 7:01 PM, the mournful funeral procession of King Carnival will begin, with strict mourning, musical animation, and the participation of the neighborhood

  • Route: c. de Rogent/c. Finestrat, c. de Rogent, c. de Sèquia Comtal, pl. de Font i Sagué and pl. Mercat del Clot.

Finally, on Meridiana Avenue with Corunya Street, the Burial of the Sardine, the burning of King Carnestoltes and the reading of his will will take place. The party will conclude with a popular farewell sardine feast (3 € with plate and cutlery, 4 € without). With this program, Clot - Camp de l’Arpa is preparing to experience a week of Carnival that promises laughter, tradition, and neighborhood participation. For more information, you can consult the agenda on the website of the Federation of entities Clot-Camp de l’Arpa.

Exhibition Anys i Caps: la memòria del Rei Carnestoltes

In the framework of Carnival 2026, the neighborhood will also be able to enjoy the exhibition Anys i Caps, a show that collects the heads of the Carnival Kings of Clot - Camp de l’Arpa over the years. The exhibition can be visited from February 12 to 18 at the Centre Cultural La Farinera del Clot, and offers a visual and festive journey through the history, satire, and creativity of this emblematic figure of the neighborhood's Carnival.

The inauguration will take place on Thursday, February 12 at 7 p.m., with an event at the reception of CC La Farinera del Clot, which will also serve as a meeting point to kick off the cultural Carnival. An ideal opportunity to discover (or rediscover) the irreverent spirit of King Carnival through his most memorable heads
