Fabra i Coats: Creation Factory has opened once again the call for residencies for 2027. The initiative is aimed at artists, collectives, and culture professionals who wish to develop their projects in this cultural facility in Sant Andreu dedicated to creation, research, and exchange among creators.
The deadline to submit applications will be open until September 15.
What do the Fabra i Coats residencies offer?
The residencies include the free provision of workspaces at Fabra i Coats, as well as various support services for the projects. The selected individuals and collectives will also receive professional guidance, support in the dissemination of their proposals, and will be able to be part of the Fabra Council, the representative body of the resident community.
Three types of residencies for 2027
The call is divided into three types. The first corresponds to cultural initiative residencies, aimed at professionals and collectives linked to management, production, communication, distribution, and other areas of the cultural sector who are looking for a shared space to develop their activity.
The second type is artistic project residencies, aimed at creators of performing arts, visual arts, film and audiovisual, sound art, multimedia, literature, graphic novel, and other disciplines. The objective is to facilitate the development of projects in dialogue with the activity of Fabra i Coats.
Finally, the music residencies are intended both for artists and for musical groups. In this case, two options are offered: short-term residencies, from one to three months, and long-term residencies, with a minimum stay of one year, extendable.
Call calendar
To resolve questions about the different types, Fabra i Coats has organized information sessions on July 27 and 28. The selected residencies will begin their activity from January 12, 2027.
