The neighborhood of La Mina enters the final stretch of its XXXV Cultural Week, an edition that under the motto “Let's row in favor for a dignified Mina”. Since last Monday, May 18, the neighborhood has become the epicenter of coexistence in Sant Adrià, combining the demand for a dignified life with a wide range of events that highlight the intangible heritage and the local associative fabric.

An emotional and technological start

The celebration began on Monday with an inaugural event at the Font de la Mina Cultural Space, where the Neighborhood Association, accompanied by Mayor Filo Cañete, kicked off with a proclamation focused on the dignity of the neighborhood. On Tuesday, the activity focused on memory with the "Sensitive Cartography" by desdelamina.net and technology with the 5th Street Robotics Conference, closing the day with the recognition of 20 years of La Mina Camina and the screening of the film "El 47".

Wednesday and Thursday: The heart of the festival and flamenco art

This Wednesday, May 20, the festival moved to the street with the Entities Exhibition. Throughout the day, Maria Àngels Rosell Simplicio square was filled with stalls and workshops, highlighting the omelet contest in its three categories: classic, creative, and intercultural.

And on Thursday 21, the day was dedicated to community health with physical activities led by CAP La Mina and meditation workshops. Gypsy culture, a fundamental pillar of the neighborhood, had its own space in the afternoon with a flamenco show at the Gypsy Cultural Center and the concert by the Benet Bails Music School.

Friday and weekend: Coexistence and sport

This Friday, May 22, the main event is the traditional Entities and Neighborhood Dinner at the Font de la Mina Cultural Space, one of the most emblematic spaces of brotherhood of the week. Looking ahead to the weekend, the program will conclude with the CF Tramuntana football tournament on Saturday and the Popular Walk on Sunday morning.

This XXXV edition not only confirms the solidity of an initiative born in the early 2000s to explain the neighborhood from within, but also reinforces La Mina's role as a space for pluralism, intercultural dialogue, and festive commitment.
