From November 27th to January 7th, the Dalt de la Vila space in Sant Adrià de Besòs will host "EspurnESS," the first collective exhibition in Barcelonès Nord that connects contemporary art with the values of the social and solidarity economy. This multidisciplinary exhibition, promoted by Te Creativa and La Perifèrica, arrives in Sant Adrià after its inauguration at Badiu Jove in Badalona.
"EspurnESS" brings together works of painting, sculpture, audiovisual installations, and performances created by local artists. Through these pieces, the exhibition invites reflection on values such as sustainability, feminism, social cohesion, solidarity, and inclusion, highlighting the distance that often exists between these principles and the reality we live. It is not art for decoration, but art for thinking and igniting a necessary conversation.
Mercat d'Economia Solidària: theory and practice meet on December 13
To bring these values from theory to practice, on Saturday, December 13th, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Sant Adrià's Plaça de l'Església will host the Mercat d'Economia Solidària. An event that invites you to discover responsible consumption alternatives through stalls from organizations, cooperatives, and shops with conscious products, as well as an exhibition and sale of art and crafts
During the morning, various free workshops will be offered: an artistic workshop tent with clay techniques, terrariums, and anthotype; the family workshop "Let's Make Sock Puppets" (from 11 am to 1 pm); the Didaltruck, where you can learn upcycling techniques to extend the life of clothes; and the Reparatruck, to learn how to safely repair small appliances.
At 12:00 PM, a guided tour of the exhibition "EspurnESS" will take place at Casal Dalt la Vila, accompanied by the exhibiting artists and with a storytelling session by the illustrators. A perfect opportunity to connect art with action.
This traveling exhibition, a result of the first 2025 artistic call for plastic and visual arts organized by Te Creativa and La Perifèrica, aims to foster critical awareness and community engagement, while giving visibility to emerging talent from the region. After its stay in Sant Adrià, "EspurnESS" will continue its tour through other spaces in Barcelonès Nord, with one of its next stops planned for the La Mina neighborhood.
