The Centre de Producció Cultural i Juvenil Polidor of Sant Adrià del Besòs becomes, during the months of February and March, a meeting point for two cultural proposals that highlight community art and the values of the social and solidarity economy in Barcelonès Nord. On the one hand, the traveling exhibition "EspurnESS" arrives at Polidor after its tour of different spaces in the territory and, on the other hand, CE-CAL will be presented, a new circuit of visual arts exhibitions focused on local artistic creation.
"EspurnESS" closes its itinerant tour at Polidor
The exhibition "EspurnESS", organized by Te Creativa and La Perifèrica, will be open at El Polidor from February 12 to March 11, with the inauguration scheduled for February 19 at 6 p.m. This multidisciplinary collective exhibition, the result of the first artistic call for plastic and visual arts 2025, highlights the local talent of artists from Barcelonès Nord and encourages reflection on values such as equity, solidarity, sustainability, and commitment to the community.
After its stop at Badiu Jove de Badalona, Dalt de la Vila, Mas Fonollar and Espai Cultural La Mina, "EspurnESS" concludes its itinerant tour at El Polidor, bringing contemporary art closer and fostering critical awareness around the values of the social and solidarity economy. In parallel, work is already underway on the second call for this exhibition to continue promoting the artistic talent of the territory.
Presentation of CE-CAL: a circuit of community exhibitions
On March 5, El Polidor will also host the presentation of CE-CAL, a project promoted by 08 Rodalies Cultural and SapsQue, with the support of La Perifèrica, within the framework of the ComunarESS program of the Department of Business and Labor of the Generalitat. CE-CAL is a circuit of visual arts exhibitions that highlights the artistic creation of Barcelonès Nord through community exhibitions, conceived as collaborative processes between artists and collectives from the territory.
During the presentation, the four exhibitions that will make up the circuit between Badalona, Santa Coloma de Gramenet, and Sant Adrià de Besòs will be explained, as well as the open call for any artist from the territory to participate in one of them. Participating collectives such as Grup d'art els Coloristes and Grup de Belles Arts de Badalona will attend, and work is being done with collectives specialized in graffiti such as Woostreetart, Decord-lux, and Pintamos Mucho to focus one of the exhibitions on the urban art of Barcelonès Nord. The curators of the exhibitions will also be present: Laia Cutrina, Marina Alonso, Helena Moreno, and Daniel de Gracia. The event will include a participatory dynamic with attendees to activate the exhibition spaces as living places, open to participation and with a transformative will.
CE-CAL activates for the first time a visual arts circuit in Barcelonès Nord that transforms public facilities into vibrant cultural spaces, gives visibility to local creators, and reinforces community cohesion through art.
