Within the framework of showcasing the different cultures and identities in the Iberian Peninsula, next May 31st, the musical recital As Nosas Letras Galegas will take place in Santa Coloma de Gramenet, which the Galician and Colomenc cultural center Airiños da Nosa Galicia organizes every year. This year, the entity will pay tribute to the journalist and writer Begoña Caamaño (1964-2014), one of the most influential voices in Galician radio and press. The concert will start at 5:30 PM, at the Auditori de Can Roig i Torres, where Galician culture will breathe, be heard, and be shared with the public, in this event open to everyone.

Airiños is known in Santa Coloma for organizing its gastronomic and cultural festival every year at the city's Parc Europa, with a large influx of activities and diners, as well as the Octopus Festival and more cultural activities they promote in Santa Coloma. This time, the entity once again opens a bridge between traditions, as Airiños will intertwine the Galician Letters with other coexisting cultures and identities, such as Catalonia and Andalusia, deeply rooted in Santa Coloma.

“There will be rhapsodes, songs, live music and guests from different entities, Galician or non-Galician”, explains its president, Xosé Canosa. There will also be an exhibition by the cartoonist Siro López.

Although the Real Academia Galega proposes an important figure each year in the promotion of the language to celebrate the Galician Letters, it is Airiños, with a strong local sentiment towards Santa Coloma and Catalonia, who turns the Day of Letters into a tribute that claims not only its roots, but also the land that has welcomed them, thus weaving a cultural bridge, in its own way, in the recital As Nosas Letras Galegas.
