The Sintonitzza Festival is one of the most anticipated events of the summer in Santa Coloma de Gramenet. An independent festival, free and open to everyone, that brings together alternative, indie, psychedelic, and transgressive bands from both the Barcelona metropolitan area and other parts of Spain, without giving up some international surprise.
This year, the festival has reached its XXI edition, after a twentieth celebrated last year, with emotion, by its most loyal followers. The new event will take place on September 4 and 5 at Parc Europa. Although there is still time before it starts, the organization has already unveiled the complete lineup of artists who will take the stage during the weekend.
Bands confirmed for Sintonitzza
The first day will begin on September 4 at 9 p.m. with Gripau, one of the most innovative and energetic emerging Catalan bands of the moment. The group stands out for its psychedelic sound "amphibious egg punk" and a lysergic aesthetic reflected in songs like Cicle Metamòrfic or O.F.N.I. (Objecte Fumeta No Identificat).
Next will be the turn of The Lizards, a high-intensity rock band from Barcelona that will present their new album, Below the Surface. The Belgian band Maria Iskariot will also perform, with a live show marked by punk and their lyrics in Dutch. The night will continue with Los Estanques & El Canijo de Jerez, a collaboration that will fuse their styles of progressive rock and flamenco with a carefree spirit. The first day will close with La Fundación Francisco Frankenstein, a trio from Mallorca that will make the audience vibrate with their characteristic garage with Ramones roots.
On September 5, the baton will be taken by Hostia Pedagógica, who will open the second night from 9 p.m. with their particular sound, defined by the band itself as music for "pyromaniac office workers." Then will come the Madrid-based Rata Negra and the San Sebastian duo Niña Coyote Eta Chico Tornado. The program will continue with Remei de Ca la Fresca, one of the Catalan proposals with the most personality, capable of combining Catalan folklore, electronics, and poetic recital. The final touch will be put by the Bilbao group EZEZEZ, with a live show full of energy, magnetism, and performative spirit.
