Santa Coloma de Gramenet will once again be, one more year, the capital of rock and heavy-metal. The X edition of Rock Fest is about to begin with three days full of revelry, torn voices and guitar riffs on the upcoming July 3, 4 and 5. One of the most anticipated events for lovers of this musical genre. The organization has confirmed the participation of 37 bands for the tenth anniversary of the festival.
Can Zam Park, stage for renowned bands
Can Zam Park will once again host the Barcelona Rock Fest, which has been held in Santa Coloma since 2014. Mythical bands such as Scorpions, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Aerosmith, Deep Purple, Ozzy Osbourne, Kiss, Europe or Slipknot have passed through its stages, being a meeting point for international bands, but also for the most transgressive and characteristic Spanish rock. This is the case of bands like Angelus Apatrida, Ángeles del Infierno or Barón Rojo, who have also been seen at Barcelona Rock Fest, thrilling many listeners of the national scene.
The participation of renowned bands and emerging talents in Santa Coloma has placed it among one of the favorite places, along with other festivals such as Resurrection Fest or Z! Live Rock Fest. Can Zam Park attracts almost more than 70,000 visitors. This year the festival reaches ten years of celebration, since 2014, and has only been interrupted during the Covid-19 pandemic, in 2020 and 2021, and in 2023, with the reforms of Can Zam Park, which had to move the concerts to the Sant Jordi Club.
X edition Barcelona Rock Fest
The tenth edition will kick off on the first day with two main attractions: the farewell of the trash metal band, Megadeth, and the return of the British group from the eighties and punk aesthetic reference: Sex Pistols. The concert program also includes the participation of Loudness, Gothard, Tyketto, Blues Pills, Pretty Maids, Latzen, Starace, Machete Law and Motörhits.
The next day will be the turn of Helloween, one of the first confirmed headliner bands, and one of the most influential heavy-metal bands in Europe. Also Accept and Sabaton, with raw and powerful sounds. On the stages, Testament, Primal Fear, Napalm Death, Bleed From Within, Tankard, Los Barones, Hiraes, Chino Banzai, Dünedain and T.N.T will play.
For the third day of the festival, the German band Powerwolf will perform their concert as one of the headliners for the night. Also The Offspring and Bad Religion, two of the most iconic Californian bands from the United States and participating for the first time at Barcelona Rock Fest. The concert program also includes Evaristo, Breaking Benjamin, Steel Panther, Cavalera Conspiracy, Chevelle, Orden Ogan, AMH, Rienda Suelta, Rat-Zinger and Stingers.
