The Clàssica a Molins cycle has concluded its first edition after eight concerts held between October and June in the Gothic hall of the Renaissance museum. The proposal, which was born with the aim of becoming a stable program within the municipality's cultural calendar, has offered a wide variety of concerts, ranging from emerging artists to consolidated musicians from the classical scene. In fact, the cycle has had a very good public response, as it has managed to sell out all tickets in each of the sessions.

The Molins pianist Bernat Català inaugurated the cycle on October 9 and, since then, the program has included performances by pianists, soloists, guitarists, wind quintets and baroque violin ensembles, among others. The objective, in fact, has been to offer a sample of the diversity of styles that coexist within classical music and to bring this genre to a wide audience through a varied and quality cultural offer.

The last concert was held on June 18 with the performance of the Portuguese mezzo-soprano Elena Ressurrição, considered a great interpreter, accompanied on the piano. With the closing of this first edition, Clàssica a Molins consolidates itself and proposes to continue offering concerts in the municipality, at least for the next year.

Enjoy classical music without leaving Molins de Rei

The Molins saxophonist and promoter of the cycle, Miquel Bofill, has made a "very positive" assessment of the first edition. As he explained, the main objective was to bring classical music closer to the people of Molins in a more intimate format, taking advantage of the intimate character of the Gothic hall of the Renaissance museum. "For me, the most gratifying thing has been that people have been able to enjoy it", he assured. Bofill highlights that in the municipality there is a "public loyal to classical music", with people subscribed to the Liceu, the Auditori or the Palau de la Música, who have appreciated "being able to enjoy this offer without leaving Molins de Rei".

The promoter of the cycle has also highlighted the audience's behavior during all the concerts, emphasizing the respect shown in each performance. "Not a single mobile phone was heard", Bofill pointed out as an example of the attention with which the interpretations were followed. Bofill also thanked the support received from the very beginning "both from the City Council and the management of the Renaissance museum", and confirmed that the cycle will be held again next year, stating that "we are already starting to move to close the concerts".
