This Tuesday, June 30 at 6 p.m., the El Polidor Cultural Center in Sant Adrià de Besòs will become the venue for the first exhibition of CECAL 2026 (Circuit d’Exposicions Centrades en l’Art Local). Under the title "Mirades: Entre la realitat i l'oníric", this collective exhibition is born with the clear objective of giving voice to the artistic talent of the territory and strengthening the local cultural ecosystem in the region.
CECAL is a cycle of co-creation exhibitions jointly promoted by the Rodalies Cultural 08 association and the SapsQue association. This initiative works to promote, connect and offer exhibition opportunities to creators in the territory, weaving a support network based on collaboration and dissemination.
On this occasion, the project is presented in co-production with the Grup de Belles Arts del Museu de Badalona (a historical entity founded in 1949 to bring plastic creation closer to citizens) and is funded by the Generalitat de Catalunya's ComunarEES Program to promote the social and solidarity economy.
Ten km 0 gazes under the curatorship of Helena Moreno
The exhibition has been coordinated by art historian and curator Helena Moreno Pérez, who has structured a narrative discourse that proposes an open dialogue between the real and the dreamlike world, exploring how paintings and sculptures are transformed through the viewer's gaze.
The exhibition features a careful selection of ten works by ten artists from the territory:
-
Carlos Alonso (Univers Frida Kahlo)
-
Núria Ferrer Sánchez (La Mirada de la Cesca)
-
Blanca Estela Mac Naught Barbizani (Pintant Arrecifes)
-
Eulàlia Monés Gresely (Galeria de personatges)
-
Genny Murià (Oneness)
-
Celia Plantón Vilches (Tardor a la Platja)
-
Manuel Reyes Moya (Picasso)
-
Maripaz Rodríguez Quintana (Els Elements)
-
María José Salido Consuegra (Port Salvatge)
-
Carmen Serrano Ayuso (Big Bang / projecte Flow)
Beyond the official inauguration this Tuesday, the organization has scheduled mediation spaces to bring the works closer to the general public. The most important event on the agenda will be next Tuesday, July 14 at 6 p.m., when a free guided tour will be led by the curator herself to delve into the creative process of the pieces.
