When the giants go out for a walk and the devils light up the night, it means the festivities have returned. From May 8 to 17, Clot-Camp de l'Arpa celebrates the 30th edition of the Festes de Primavera with ten days of events that turn squares and parks into stages for popular culture, music, and good food. Festivities promoted, as always, by the Federació d'Entitats del Clot-Camp de l'Arpa. Because here the festivities are made by the entities and the people who follow them.

The start is at the Carme Montoriol square, where the EAMP neighborhood center organizes an open day, 'the Sidral', with osteopilates and tai-chi workshops in the morning, and in the afternoon a participatory activity to design the family space and an open swing workshop. The night is taken by the Xanokados Anniversary: the AEIG K2 and the Xino Xano leisure center join forces to celebrate their anniversaries at the esplanade of La Farinera del Clot, with PDs and open bar until 1 am.

The Saturday 9 the spotlight is shared by three parallel events. The Casal de Joves La Traca hosts the Bandada Days, a sensitization space for young people with diverse genders and sexualities, with games, performing arts, and a music session. At the Market square, the III Bastoner Musical Vermouth of the Ball de Bastons del Clot offers performances, tapas, and the best DJs. And at Clot park, the 4th Snail Gathering of Clot x Llibertat/CPI L'Anònima proposes a popular lunch of snails, sausage, and seques with a musical quinto in the afternoon. Tickets, at 8 euros in advance sale, can be bought at L'Anònima (Tuesdays and Thursdays) and at Zona de Tall (c/ Rogent, 77).

On the afternoon of Saturday 9, the Federació d'Entitats invites to a popular chocolate party at Can Robacols square (1.50 €) to warm up before the big event of the day: the XIII Spring Parade. From 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Ball de Bastons del Clot, Castellers de Barcelona, Diables del Clot and their beasts, Esbart Sant Jordi, Esbart Sant Martí, Falcons de Barcelona, Gegants de Calassanç and Gegants del Clot will tour the neighborhood along Historiador Maians, Rogent and Sèquia Comtal until reaching Mercat square. In parallel, the Foment Martinenc organizes its Tardeo at Foment with TONIFP Dj and music from the 60s, 70s and 80s in the assembly hall (10 €/members, 15 €/non-members).

The Sunday 10 starts with the Ludiclot a la Fresca, the monthly board game day organized by Martillo del Clot and Clot Jocs de Taula. In the morning in Carme Montoriol square, in the afternoon inside the Casal de Barri EAMP. At midday, the Ateneu del Clot inaugurates the Festival Clot amb Blues with a musical vermouth in the plaça de l'Oca to open the fourth season of the festival. The same square hosts in the afternoon the Tardeo Musical Solidari amb Mediterranea, with DJs and fundraising for the NGO dedicated to the rescue of people in the Mediterranean.

During the week, Wednesday 13 offers two very different proposals. In the morning, the EAMP neighborhood center makes a special outing to the Llobregat river: a walk from Cornellà to the mouth, with the option of returning from El Prat. Bring a cap, canteen and, if you can, binoculars. In the afternoon, the Clot i Camp de l'Arpa Social Services Center presents the Chained Stories, the result of a community writing process, in the Plaça de la Foguera.

The Saturday 16 is the big final day. In the morning, the Foment Martinenc goes out into the street to show all its activities and sections, and at 1 PM its Esbart Sant Jordi dances the Ball de Rams in front of the Provença headquarters (with rehearsals on May 7 and 14). The Clot park hosts the II Torneig Clotenc de Kubb (3 € per team, prior registration required at @clotjocsdetaula) and from 4 PM the Barraques de Primavera begin in the park's moat, with a sports tournament, concerts and PDs night.

The great protagonist of the 16 is, however, the 6th edition of the Perclotada of the Diables del Clot of the Orfeó Martinenc. In the morning, popular culture exhibition and musical bingo in the Plaça de la Foguera. At 6 p.m. the percussion square tour starts through Pl. Can Robacols, Pl. de l'Oca, Pl. del Mercat, Plaça de la Foguera up to the esplanade of La Farinera (tickets at €8, five stops, available at the Orfeó Martinenc from May 4). From 9:30 p.m., closing act with exhibitions and PDs, with a bar at popular prices.

The same night of the 16th, the Farinera del Clot organizes a Musical Bingo for Palestine (19-21 h), counter-programming Eurovision and raising funds in collaboration with Bombers Solidaris. Entry at 10 euros in cash, includes card, drink and tapa. Tickets at the reception of the Cultural Center from Monday, May 4.

The festivities close on Sunday 17 with a double celebration: the AE Terra-Nova commemorates its 50th anniversary in Carme Montoriol square with popular culture workshops, popular lunch and concerts from 10 am to 8 pm. And the Jardins del Clot de la Mel will host the Bravas Rock Festival, from 11 am to 9 pm, organized by Eix Clot.

And the neighborhood also doesn't stop completely after the festivities. On May 23, the Kasperle leisure center celebrates its 50th anniversary at Parc del Clot de la Mel. On May 30, the SCV leisure center will celebrate its 60th in the same space. And that same morning, the AVV del Clot-Camp de l'Arpa calls for a concentration in front of the Torre del Fang (c/ Clot, 228) demanding its rehabilitation.
